Job Corps
Job Corps is seeking new applicants for immediate openings and restore its 125 centers nationwide to full capacity. A U.S. Department of Labor program, Job Corps provides eligible students with academic and career technical training, room and board, counseling and mentoring services, and basic medical care. Young people ages 16 through 24 who meet low-income requirements can enroll in the program at no cost to them by calling 1-800-733-JOBS (5627) or visit Job Corps' website.

The Michigan CECR is a consumer-oriented website designed to provide the general public with useful and accurate information about education and training programs available throughout the state. It is an online tool that will allow individuals to search for career education programs available in specific areas and help to determine the best fit for any situation. Michigan's CECR is an integrated, electronic gateway to the labor market for job seekers and employers. The general public will have access to the CECR directly through the Internet.

LearnKey is a premier global provider of self-paced training solutions for corporate, education, government and personal users. For over two decades, their mission has been to create flexible expert learning solutions - solutions that work for everyone because they are not only easy to use, but they are extremely engaging and interactive. LearnKey brings the classroom experience to you - where and when you need it.

Individuals must register in person at our Center to utilize this Microsoft Office Training for one year from any computer with an internet connection.

Online Career Skills (KeyTrain)
The KeyTrain Career Skills series is a tool to help individuals improve their work habits and employability skills. This is a field-tested and nationally demonstrated curriculum that addresses the skills and attributes most needed by employees to be successful in the workplace environment. KeyTrain Career Skills addresses these soft skills in two hundred lessons grouped into five areas: Work Habits, Communication Skills, Workplace Effectiveness, Business Etiquette and The Job Search.

This self-paced training must be completed at Troy Michigan Works after registration.  Upon completion of all topics, individuals will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Troy Michigan Works.

Training/Tuition Assistance
Eligible job seekers may qualify for tuition assistance to help them pay for the cost of learning new skills or upgrading existing skills. Funding is limited and attendance at an orientation is required. For more information, please visit our Grant Funded Programs.
